Simkl is a popular way to keep track of TV shows, movies, anime, and other shows. Since I watch a lot of TV shows & Movies, it’s important to me to keep track of the shows I’m watching.
In this new era of streaming video, it’s hard to find time to watch TV and most importantly to find new shows according to your taste.
There are already a lot of streaming services, like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, HBO Max and the list goes on. (200+ Networks)
I’ve used services like JustWatch for more than 2 Years, IMDB, and OttPlay in the past which were SIMKL alternatives to help me with my tracking. But it was getting a little complicated.
To be honest, when I heard about SIMKL and checked out all of its features, I was surprised to find that it has a lot of great features all in one place, which I wanted other streaming tracking sites to have.
What is SIMKL? How to Pronounce it?
SIMKL is just like the word SIMPLE.
Simkl started as a Kickstarter project to build a website and apps for iOS and Android that automatically track what shows you’re watching and combine all your queues from Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, iTunes, Vudu, and Amazon Instant Video into one list.

It is popularly known for tracking Netflix shows automatically and provides extra hidden Netflix features through its powerful browser extension.
You can mark a whole series as watched or keep track of which episodes you’ve seen and how many are left. This makes it easier to keep up with all the series you’re trying to watch. (These are just a few of its features; there are many more)
Simkl will keep track of millions of titles, and what you watch and let you know when new movies and TV shows come out based on your preferences and viewing history. It will show you some of the episodes that you missed because you were too busy.
Simkl also lets you have a public profile with a rating queue. I like this feature because it helps you remember to rate your shows. On top of that, it shows your highest-rated shows in each genre, as well as shows you just rated.

Unlike other streaming trackers, Simkl makes it easy to find new, interesting movies to watch by letting you look through the profiles of your friends. (You No Longer Need To Ask Them, The Shows They Have Watched, FINALLY!!!)

Why You should use a Tracker like SIMKL?
This is the right app for you if you love movies and TV shows and hate missing episodes or new movies.
Users can keep track of any kind of show, movie, or anime and make lists of what they want to see. The app lets users find out when new movies are playing in theatres and when new seasons and episodes of their favorite shows are coming out.
I don’t think there is any other alternative to SIMKL that also provide stats of your profile as SIMKL does. (like Above Image)
I personally find myself dumb when I realize that I watched a title 3x times on repeat, hence I started using a tracker to find new shows.

The website was known previously in 2007 for the Skype chat conversation & History tracker, but it was still in beta.
During this beta, more than 10,000 users were able to take part in the beta program.
